The job I have always wanted to have during high school is doing something that involves working with people and sports. I found that job. Yes I found my dream job should be starting work there this summer. This job is right across the street from my house so it will work very well. I do not have to waist gas to get there or anything. All I have to do is walk about the length of a football field. This place is called Kyte Monroe. This job is connected to my dream career. You may not be able to see how it connect but I can. It is connected by me loving to deal with or help people. And working at a concession stand for so extra money during the summer. Having my own money will allow me to be reliant on myself, instead of having my parents give me money to do everything that I want to do.

I would not want to have a memory of an elephant because if during this period of my life that I can not do something I still want to be able to accomplish that goal just a little later in life. Elephants will not be able to accomplish it because when they tried as a calf they could not do it and there memory does not let them do something they could not do as a calf. The most memorable moment that I have had during my time on Earth is going to Mackinaw Island on a field trip during 4th grade. I have so many great memories of that trip. One thing that I have always taken for granted is the fact that I have never NEEDED something and not had it. My parents work very hard to make sure that my brothers and I have everything we need. I find it awesome that I have never been in NEED of anything. Unfortunately not everyone is as blesses as I am to have everything I need to be successful in school, sports, after school activities that I am involved in. I believe the reason I strive to help others is because I know that not everyone has what they truly need in life. "One of my favorite sayings is the things you take for granted someone else is praying for." I believe the reason I really like this quote is because I get really annoyed when people do not understand how blessed they really are. For spring break I plan on going shopping and packing because April 25th I am leaving for Florida. I really do not plan on going anywhere special because I have saved all of my money for Florida. I am really excited for April 25th. Usually I am so excited for spring break to be there because I get a whole week off of school, yes I am really excited to just hang out at home and not have to do anything. I can not believe I am saying this but this year I really excited for taking a week off of school to go to Florida. My brother and I do the yard work for my dad and our neighbors. My dad has a bad back and can not to the yard work anymore because he has had six lower back surgeries. We help my neighbor because she is a older lady and also has health problems. It brings satisfaction to many people to know that people still care about other people. That teenage kids still take time out of there day to go help someone with something that they are incapable of doing. The title of this article is “The Farmer’s Donkey.” It is about a donkey that fell into an empty well. When the farmer heard the donkey crying for help he had to decide what to do. The farmer and his friends decided to bury the donkey and fill in the well. The donkey decided that every time the farmer and his friends tossed dirt into the well the donkey shook the dirt off and stepped up on to it. As the pile of dirt built up the donkey took many more steps up and eventually got up out of the well. The article “The Farmer’s Donkey” relates to me because when I have a problem I work through it. When I have a very difficult time working through it I ask for or find help so that I can face my problem and conquer it just like the donkey in “The Farmer’s Donkey.” I completely agree with this article because “When life hands you lemons, you make lemonade” you do not just sit there and suffer. The donkey did not just sit there and suffer. He shook off the dirt that people tossed his way and overcame his problem. When you are tossed a problem go in to with a positive attitude and come out with a smile on your face because you have just grown a little bit stronger. My plan of action is to take my own words of advice and not get stressed out when a problem is tossed my way. Instead I will go into the dirt with a positive attitude and come out of the problem with a smile on my face. I have just grown a little bit stronger. I will also encourage others to just remember to stay positive. Every bit of dirt that gets tossed your way gets put there because you can accomplish. Attempt: make an effort to achieve or complete (something, typically a difficult task or action). Determines: cause (something) to occur in a particular way; be the decisive factor in. Example: "it will be her mental attitude that determines her future" The part in Charles Swindoll’s quote on Attitude that stood out to me the most was the part of his quote that says "I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it" I really like this part of the quote because if you are having a hard time doing something in; life, school, work, or anything really if you go into it with a positive attitude instead of a negative attitude you will be more successful at the topic. My father is one of the most positive people I know. He is positive because he has been through six back surgeries and had a very difficult time with pain. Even though he is in a lot of pain and had to his way of life a little bit he still is the same dad I have always had. He still plays catch with my brother and I, he still sits on the hard bleachers and watches our sport games and anything my brothers and I do. That just makes you believe that there are strong people who make you believe that you can do anything you set your mind too. That positive person is my father. With all that my dad has been through he is still the strongest person that I have ever met. The subject that is most difficult for me is Spanish. I believe the reason that Spanish is the most difficult for me is because there are just so many verb changes that can become very confusing. I hope that studying very hard and and trying my best will help me get an A this trimester as my final grade in Spanish 2B. Just because an event is difficult for you does not mean that you can not accomplish it. Succeeding at difficult activities makes less difficult activities more enjoyable. If you have a positive attitude you can accomplish anything you set your mind to its just mind over matter. |
